Worth Smiling About...

Ok, so I've been kinda depressed and cranky for a long time now. But I found this in my inbox this morning, and it's amazingly joyful! So, ignore their stupid title, but check out the rest! Make sure your speakers are on!

HSL Annual Picnic 2008

Thanks everyone for coming-- it was great fun and I, for one, ate too much! Anyway, enjoy the pictures!

Ladder Toss-- it's harder than it looks. MUCH harder...

In case you missed it, there were other games and tools for our amusement scattered about:

Peaceful Deafness

(Glorydoll Lucy head on Custom House girl body)
I finally realized what Ruth reminds me of-- though I can't really explain why. She reminds me of a young girl who is lost in her own world because she is deaf. She seems so inward-looking, and at perfect peace. Nothing can penetrate the safety of her walls... It's how I feel when I take my hearing aids out after a long, hard, noisy day. So there is no pity here. Just pure beauty...

Still Playing With That Light Tent...

I need a bigger one, though! I can barely manuever my dolls in that little bitty thing!

Sigh, I love her! Such a fragile beauty... like a little Orchid! she looks GREAT in colors, doesn't she???

One fun "Hothouse Flower" photo effect...

More Late Night (or Early Morning, Heh!) Pictures

Here are some more portrait/studies of a very lovely face, Glorydoll Lucy. I love this particular Souldoll outfit-- it was originally shown on Souldoll Hye and I just fell in love with its strangeness. This time, I've added a beautiful corset made by Diane in NY. Tonight (or this morning), I was experimenting with a light tent that I bought a couple of days ago. It's pretty cool!
